SmartONE Solutions Inc.

Connectivity for multi-dwelling developments

Awarded for
Taking the smart home one step further
Company

SmartONE Solutions was founded by a former real estate CIO who has spent the last 20 years developing a smart community solution that is now widely adopted. It all started at a conference in 2001, where the concept of a smart and connected building was first seen and embraced. This was the start of a journey to find both the right technology and business model to make the smart community concept a reality. After 15 years of persistence, the first pilot project was commissioned in a 700-unit pilot community in downtown Toronto. From 2020 to 2021, the company experienced a 300% increase in sales growth, and has become the foundational platform that solves the biggest social issues such as social connection, security and safety, sustainability, inclusivity, and accessibility.

HOW THE INNOVATION WAS INVENTED

The concept of smart home technology is not new in the North American market; however, these technologies were not built for multi-dwelling developments. SmartONE has created a new product class by connecting smart homes over a common network and selling it as part of a bulk internet offering with major telecommunications companies. The SmartONE solution is a launchpad for continued innovation that seamlessly integrates new smart home and community technologies as they become available. SmartONE has become the foundational platform that solves the biggest social issues such as social connection, security and safety, sustainability, inclusivity, and accessibility.

Benefit

SmartONE’s smart community solution is best defined as an innovative technology and business model. The SmartONE revolution has created a whole new industry by impacting the way major telco companies operate and creating new jobs in the market.
