The World Technology Leader Award enters its fifth round! On March 15, the international innovation award entered the new nomination phase. Interested companies can now apply for a place on the shortlist in three categories.
This year marks the fifth time that the award has been presented to companies from all over the world that have made a special contribution to global progress, but also to the goal of sustainability and to places of innovation. Following the successful premiere of the two new categories “World Green Technology Leader” and “World Technology and Innovation Hub”, these two awards are now an integral part of the WTLA. Plenty of exciting and innovative applications from companies from all over the world are once again expected for 2024.
The World Technology Leader Award recognizes sustainable, environmentally friendly and resource-efficient products and services. Within the subcategory “World Technology and Innovation Hub”, outstanding locations for science and education as well as research and development are being honoured. This year, innovative companies of all sizes and industries are again invited to apply for WTLA 2024 and present their breakthrough developments to the nominating committee and more than one million decision-makers from around the world.
“We are once again expecting a high-caliber field of participants from all continents this year,” says CEO Michael Oelmann, whose nominating committee is made up of winners from previous years, business experts and scientists from around the world. “The colorful mix of innovative industries, be it medical technology, software, environmental technology, e-mobility, transport and mechanical engineering, is impressive,” says Michael Oelmann.
“It is also fascinating to see that the participants come from very different corporate cultures, classes and geographical environments. From start-ups and SMEs to large international corporations, everything is represented here. This shows that the World Technology Leader Award has established itself as a permanent hallmark in the global innovation landscape.”
The official application period does not end until October 31, followed by public voting in November. “However,” says Harald Henkel of the award team, “it makes sense to apply as early as possible. Because the earlier a company is listed as a participant by the nomination committee, the greater the media attention as well as the external impact it will have.” Do you also want to be part of the illustrious round of prominent award winners such as OpenAI, Xiaomi, Apple and Nvidia?
